Aquila Corde Armoniche invented the nylgut (synthetic gut) string in 1997. Aquila Nylgut ukulele strings are highly polished, natural silk-coloured alternative strings. They were created in consultation with synthetic monofilament specialists to imitate the acoustic characteristics, feel and action of gut strings, without the defects.
