Terms and Conditions
Here at the Southern Ukulele Store, we are taking our responsibilities during the Coronavirus outbreak very seriously.
We are all washing our hands regularly, and have implemented distancing policies to minimise contact between staff members as much as possible. Each member of staff is very well aware of the latest government advice, and is only coming in each day if they are symptom free.
As of today, Monday 23rd March, the showroom will be closed until further notice. We have to minimise the risk to our customers and staff as much as possible during these difficult times. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
Website and Telephone
The website and telephones are open for business as usual. Over the last fortnight, an increasingly large proportion of our business has been by phone or website. We are very skilled and experienced at getting instruments to customers all around the world in top top condition, and in a timely fashion.
Please, call us on +44 (0)1202 430820 between 10am and 4pm for any advice if you are unsure of an online purchase. And if you need anything, from an in hand description of the smell of a uke, or a sound sample of your shortlisted favourites, we'll do our best to accommodate this.
If you are keen to try a particular instrument then we would be happy to hold it with a refundable £50 deposit until it is safer to travel again.
Emails, and contact through socal media, will all be answered as you have come to expect from us.
Our Youtube channel features hundreds of detailed sound samples and we will endeavor to generate new content and samples where possible that may help you so thankfully, it has never been easier to shop from the comfort of your own home.
Courier and postal services around Europe are currently still operating normally, although we are monitoring developments daily so should this change suddenly and we are unable to guarantee a delivery to you, we will be in touch immediately following your order to let you know. Normal order processing times are slightly longer on occasion, owing for the need to run minimal skeleton staffing, and maintain distancing.
Terms and Conditions
Thank you for visiting our website. These terms and conditions are designed to promote understanding between us and our customers, and to protect the rights of each party. If you have any queries about these terms, please do not hesitate to contact us on +44 (0)1202 430820 or email@example.com and we will be happy to help.
Purchasing from the Southern Ukulele Store website
Occasionally items ordered through the website are out of stock, or the specifications have been changed by the manufacturers. In each instance, we will contact you to let you know before shipping your order. We will make a full refund if any alternatives we propose do not meet with your satisfaction. We are only obliged to fulfil any order once payment has been received in full. Ownership of the goods only transfers once payment is received and delivery has been made.
All instruments are checked as they arrive into stock, and we do send back an awful lot of duds to our suppliers. Each instrument is checked again, tuned, played and set up if necessary before dispatch to ensure that it reaches you in tip top condition.
All bidders must register and log in to an account on the website. All bidding will be via the website, at the bottom of the listing page for the item being auctioned. The purchase price will be the highest final bid at the end of the timed auction. Bidding increments will be identified for each auction item. No extra commission will be charged on auction lots - the final bid price is the amount the winner will pay (plus shipping charges for Highlands and Islands, and Overseas delivery, which will be added at checkout.)
The bid price includes all VAT. Upon completion of the auction, the winner will be send a link to a checkout page to complete the transaction. Please see below for Payment terms and conditions. Payment must be completed within 3 days of the end of the auction. Any warranty provided by us or the manufacturer will apply (1 year for new, 3 months for used items). Your statutory rights to return the item are not affected.
Please visit our Returns Page for details of how to return items to us.
