COAST UKULELE RAFFLE - Live Edge Koa Pineapple Soprano Ukulele w/Floral Skeleton Inlay

THE COMPETITION
The first of it's Kind! A Ukulele Raffle featuring a Coast USA made Ukulele that would be around £2500 if we sold it. Donated by the lovely family at Coast.

We will be running this as UK only with an old school raffle. Every £5 entry you purchase will buy you a strip of tickets from our raffle book into the raffle. You can obviously enter as many times as you like and we will add more tickets with your name on to the hat when we choose the winner. The opportunity to purchase tickets will end on Wednesday 14th January and we will film the process of the tickets being sorted into a hat as well as the picking of the winner. The winner will be announced on a social media video on or around the Friday the 16th January and we will contact them shortly after about taking delivery of the prize.

This Competition is sadly only open to UK customers. I have spent weeks in the build up researching the various rules and regulations around running an international competition and sadly Southern Ukulele Store just isn't able to keep every Country happy without breaking the rules and regulations of another... Sorry folks.

THE UKULELE
Kawai at Coast loves building Ukuleles. When you do things the old fashioned way with detailed inlays and with master grade woods and delicate details like live edges; it can take hundreds of hours to complete an instrument. Kawai has generously donated this Ukulele to be raffled in the hope that players who cannot afford a Coast Ukulele or somebody in need of a bit of good luck can own a piece of Coast Ukuleles all of their own.

The wood used on this Ukulele is an absolutely stunning piece of Koa that many would have considered unuseable due to its strange ends and curves but Kawai saw an opportunity and has put together a gorgeous Pineapple Koa Super Sopranino Ukulele with a natural soundhole.

What is a Super Sopranino? Well, its a traditional Soprano scale of 13.5'' which is about half an inch shorter than most of the factory ukes we see today.

The inlay is a Floral Bird Skeleton Inlay made using pieces of maple and stained woods onto ziricote (a favourite wood for Coast fingerboards). The ukulele has a side-sound port for the player to get the most out of the sound from the tiny pineapple body.
