Fabulous top end Pono baritone ukulele. Not just astonishing on the eye, but a treat for the ears and fingers too! The cedar makes a warm, deep, complex sound which suits the baritone range really well, whilst the Ebony on the back and sides certainly helps to increase the sustain and volume whilst focusing the tone a little. It also has a slight radius on the fretboard, which is almost imperceptible, but helps to make playing it feel very easy indeed.

It is a joy in the hand, feeling really solidly well made, with a high degree of accuracy and care applied to the construction and finishing. An heirloom quality instrument!

However, only 20% pass the stringent requirements of density, grain patterns, flexibility, and cosmetic aesthetics. This is virtually unknown, especially in the Asian import market. We are proud of the fact that all of the Pono instruments are made of solid woods.
