Lanikai QM-BKCET Black Quilted Maple Electro Acoustic Tenor Ukulele w/Pod Case

Alex here; I first saw the Lanikai QM-BKCET quilted maple electric acoustic tenor ukulele  at the 2019 NAMM show. It took place a month before the pandemic started... Safe to say, this ukulele was on my wish list for the longest time! I think this is one of the most impressive laminate ukuleles I had ever seen.

Maple is such a gorgeous wood and its natural mellowness and flat EQ response actually makes it a great wood for a laminate to imitate. The result here is a ukulele that looks as sexy as the Flight A10 anniversary ukuleles but at about 1/3 of the price.

The QM-CET series won't win any awards for having a snappy name but the wider nut on this model, sex appeal of the stained finish and select figured woods make it the perfect stage instrument to plug in (which you can do with its KULA system by Fishman).

It's refreshing to see a ukulele so vivid from such an old school, well known ukulele brand like Lanikai.

It also comes in a foam pod case which is the perfect hybrid mix of a hard case and a gigbag. Listing shows typical example. Please contact us for pictures of current stock.
