This machine also has enough volume when unplugged for quiet personal practice. And with a radiused fretboard, it feels more like an electric instrument than a standard acoustic ukulele. The truss rod, which is fairly unique to Pono ukuleles, allows for ease of setup and adjustment to get it just so.

However, only 20% pass the stringent requirements of density, grain patterns, flexibility, and cosmetic aesthetics. This is virtually unknown, especially in the Asian import market.
