Made of laminate mahogany, this uke sounds rich, and loud, but never muddy like some laminate mahogany ukes can. Whilst maintaining the thick and rich texture in the sound, the clarity of individual notes in chords comes through very impressively. This one beats ukes from other brands at higher price points, some of which offer a solid top for more money.

So for a younger student who wants something very playable, well made and a cut above at the price, the U series ukes really must be considered.
