Back in 2016, Kala did a limited edition USA made luthier built run of 'salt and pepper' mahogany ukuleles. Fast forward 7 years and Kala re-issued a Chinese made solid top version of the "salt and pepper" for a limited run. Now in the present day we have this fantastic all solid mahogany version and it is brilliant!

Offering all of the warmth and tone of mahogany but tightened up with the high gloss finish, the tenor ukulele from the KA-SDH range offers a little more depth and projection than its concert counterpart as you would expect.

The finish is sanded, grainfilled, sanded and then stained which creates the effect of salt and pepper flakes in the wood. It is finally stained black and sanded back again to release all those hidden bits of white wood grain. Supplied with a gigbag and with all solid construction, this uke is definitely unique in its finish and a great instrument if you are after something a-typical but not too "out-there" in its style.

This used model is in 6/10 condition with signs of having been played a fair bit and a chip in the headstock. It has been fitted with a strap button on the bottom bout and comes shipped with its original gigbag.
