This is a very nice little soprano from Laka. Forget the celebrity signature for the moment - this is a well made, all solid acacia soprano which feels and sounds just right. Like all acacia or koa ukes this errs towards the brighter side of the spectrum, but never sounds harsh or shrill; the sound is full and lustrous across the range with nice sustain even when you play up the neck.
The intonation, albeit not perfect on the C string, is very good as well, so one can play in any position with confidence.
