Baton Rouge UR-11S Soprano Ukulele Laminate Mahogany

Actually, this little soprano punches well above what the price tag suggests. Although laminate mahogany all round,  it has a loud and clear sound. It is very similar in spec to the Lanikai LU11 and 21, and the Kala KA-15S and KA-S - and it stands up very well against all of them in terms of sound and value for money.

So do not be put off by the fact that you have not heard of the brand, this is a very good quality starter instrument which will see anyone right for their first couple of uke years.

The strings, which are white, are NOT Aquilas, but they are very good indeed, and from our experiments we have discovered that they sound just as good as real Aquilas!
