This beauty is part of the new Hawaiian Dream series from aNueNue. I am really impressed with everything about this uke at the price - the neck feels really intuitive, the solid top makes a crystal clear, balanced, warm and luscious sound, the build quality is as good as it gets, and the gigbag it comes with is lovely. There is not really a lot to moan about!
Tenors between £100 and £200 can be a bit of a mixed bag. Some big name brands offer very fancy looking laminate wood ukes which look a million dollars but leave a little behind in the sound stakes. aNueNue take a much different approach - use a plainer, more cost effective solid tonewood top and focus on the sound. Boy, has this paid off. With a nod to the Kai tenors, I am struggling to think of a better sounding tenor at the money.
