USED Pono BE-MD Deluxe Solid body Electric Baritone Ukulele Mango

Solid chambered Mango body, gloss finish, Mango faceplate, Rosewood fretboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, passive Pono undersaddle pickup, high quality Grover machine heads, Ko'olau EBGD strings with wound 3rd and 4th. Made in Indonesia, with the pickup added and final setup done in Hawaii by the Ko'olau guys.

 

This BE-MD has had very little playwear, and is in really great condition, we agreed here on an 8/10. It hassome signs of having been used but these solid body Ponos were built so well originally that they really stand the test of time. It comes shipped in its original Pono brand fitted hard case.

The build quality is exactly what you would expect from Pono, faultless, and the engineering behind the design is very clever. Highly feedback resistant when plugged in, so you can focus on what is really important, sounding great and looking fabulous! This machine also has enough volume when unplugged for quiet personal practice. And with a radiused fretboard, it feels more like an electric instrument than a standard acoustic ukulele. The truss rod, which is fairly unique to Pono ukuleles, allows for ease of setup and adjustment to get it just so.
