Details

There is a traditional, vintage look and sound to these All Solid wood Mahogany ukuleles. They are trimmed with faux tortoise shell binding and have a Mahogany neck and this older 2014 model has the darker and more luxurious feeling rosewood fingerboard. These ukes have a very simple satin finish that keep the look and sound nice and clean with good projection. The solid mahogany wood makes a mellower sound without the cutting top end of spruce or koa. The condition of this Ukulele is good considering it has been played for five years and although there are some buffed up patches from play and minor surface scratches - it's in great nick and sounds full, vibrant and played in.

Nut width is 35mm, standard for Kala tenors. It is a very easy instrument to play, with a decent action, and Aquila strings which give the sound a real boost. The rosewood fixtures and fittings ensure a good quality of tone as well as decent sustain, and the geared machine heads ensure that you are nicely in tune for whichever style you ask of the instrument. This model also has the slotted headstock!
