So many instruments became extinct or forever changed when the CITES restrictions on Rosewood came into effect in 2016. The Cordoba COR-22 series was one of hundreds of different instruments that became scarce and eventually discontinued by the end of 2016. It's only now when we look back a couple of years later we see just how delicious small things like a rosewood fingerboard or pretty chocolatey rosewood back and sides really were at the affordable end of things.

This Cordoba sounds great, like a tiny, mighty classical guitar in many ways, the gloss finish is a practical design choice that positively adds another dimension to the tone. I urge anybody looking for an affordable Tenor ukulele to consider this gem.
