We love this single wound, Fremont soloist low G ukulele string for either soprano, concert or tenor ukuleles.
The cleverly designed string has a polished flatwound exterior which negates any of the scratchy finger noise, effectively making the sound completely squeakless. They are really well balanced with the rest of the string set as well.
It's a really good compromise between wound and unwound strings. All the sound that you like from the wound strings without the squeak and the boom!
