The Rebel Double Creme Plus-T Solid Mango Tenor Armrest Ukulele Gloss with gigbag #1

2025 has seen The Rebel make some significant additions to their standard J-series ukulele range, adding a handful of premium versions of their existing models to the roster. A direct quote from Alex: "that rebel double creme plus is up there with one of the most impressive ukes I've ever seen and played. It is so, so good".

The double creme plus tenor ukulele is made of the same gorgeous, eccentric looking mango wood as the existing double creme tenor, singing with the sugary and mellow personality that we have become accustomed to from The Rebel.

The upgraded plus version, however, features the addition of front and back Indian rosewood binding, mirrored with a matching heelcap and the all important arm rest in dark stained zebrawood that gives this particular model its name.

They have also added a personal sound-port for a far superior playing experience as well as a scalloped cutaway (with matching dark stained zebrawood) to aid you in reaching those higher frets and switched out the mahogany neck for a beautiful marrango wood one.

The double creme tenor plus also still features The Rebels' geometric bird headstock inlay, triangular maple fretboard markers and ultra precise Gotoh Planetary tuners for easy and accurate tuning with that classic friction tuner aesthetic.

Since Alex and Phil were first introduced to The Rebel at the 2019 NAMM show, they have proven to continually deliver well made instruments that you just can't help but pick up and play, each and every time you open the case. There isn't a bad or mediocre ukulele in the range and these latest upgrades are a most welcome addition to the pegs here in the store.
