Snail SR-04TEQ Solid Acacia Electro Acoustic Tenor Ukulele with gigbag

The Snail SR-04 tenor ukuleles were on our shortlist for the best ukulele of 2018, we have been regularly fitting MiSi's or Fishmans to these ukuleles for the past 18 months. It's mad to think that Snail ukuleles were not even on our radar just two years ago. Such is the popularity of this model, we have collaborated with Snail on a SUS exclusive electro acoustic version of both the concert and tenor SR-04 models.

The imaginatively titled SR-04TEQ is a solid wood Tenor with some real deluxe appointments that defy it's price - ebony fingerboard and bridge, bevelled edge and scoop cutaway, good tuners and a carry-bag. Result!

For a relatively new ukulele brand - the Snail range of ukuleles have become absolute world beaters with several models resembling instruments 2 or sometimes even 3 times their price. The SR04-CEQ and SR-04TEQ offers and delivers on anything you could ever want in a premium instrument. Having inspected this first batch of 10 instruments now, we did find that the end pin jack socket on each is slightly off centre but please don't let that worry you. These instruments are 10/10 for value.

Excellent solid acacia, check! Plush looking and feeling armrest, check! Scoop cutaway so no tone is lost on a conventional cutaway, check! It looks good, sounds good and feels good - what more could you ask for?

You will be hard pressed to find an alternative at this price that delivers this much satisfaction on first impressions. If you like your ukuleles sweet sounding but with a bit of welly when you give them a good hard strum then the SR-04 is right up your street.
