When I first saw the new rECO series from Baton Rouge, I immediately jumped to the conclusion that the instruments in question would be nicely spec'd up laminate ukes. I was so wrong! We are blown away with what Baton Rouge are offering here at such a modest price.

The UTW-T tenor ukulele is all solid German spruce with solid serviceberry back and sides. It has a lovely thick neck with a wide nut width of 37mm (31mm string spacing), it has a maple arm rest and some really gorgeous and subtle cosmetic appointments that most players will immediately come on board with.

Gotaukulele featured one of the ukuleles from this series and gave it a well deserved 9.1/10. The value for money on this instrument is staggering at a time when established brands like Kala would possibly only have ukes upwards of £450 that had the features of this.

What is serviceberry, we hear you ask? It's an uncommon tonewood choice with a few different regional names. Most commonly known as the juneberry tree in North America. It resembles maple offering the same mellow sound. This Baton Rouge tenor uke is high spec for the price, uncommon and sounds great!
