Description

Details

What a gorgeous wood Indonesian ebony is, and Kala have used it to create a stunning electro acoustic tenor ukulele. These Kala ebony models have a unique stripy chocolatey look and a natural depth to their sound and lots of sustain - especially compared to the other ukuleles at this price.

A lovely maple binding on the top and back is a welcome addition and stops this ukulele from looking too dark. In this price range, the Kala tenor ukulele is an excellent alternative to a solid mahogany instrument.

Ebony is traditionally used on fingerboards and as decoration on other instruments but as the Snail ukuleles and Koki'o ukuleles have proven in the past year, stripy ebony is an excellent wood in ukulele manufacturing.

The electro acoustic tenor model features Kala's discreet and user friendly UK-300 Piezo pickup system with built in tuner.

Photos show a good representation of an average example. If you would like photos of the actual models we have in stock, please drop us a line.
