For many, this won't be their first encounter with a Taropatch Ukulele as in recent years, builders like Rob Collins and companies like Uluru have popularised the style here in the UK. Still, for those wondering what a Taropatch is? a Taropatch is an 8 string Ukulele with dual courses of strings rather than octaves like a traditional 8 string. This Ohana has a Low and High G followed by pairs of C's, E's and A's creating a naturally thicker sound with an almost choir like chorus effect.
Like all Ohana ukuleles, this is blessed with a great sound and the benefit of solid top, back and sides. As you would expect from all solid mahogany, this concert uke makes a warm sound with a great dynamic range - quiet fingerpicking comes through with clarity, whilst when you strum, you can get very loud whilst still maintaining that nice crystal clarity.
