Snail BHC-6T Solid Cedar Top/Ebony Tenor Ukulele w/Gigbag END OF LINE
In 2026, Snail will be revamping their entire catalogue of Ukuleles with many models switching to wider nuts and different aesthetic detail. With that in mind, Southern Ukulele Store has taken a huge amount of warehouse clearance stock and can offer some of the most iconic ukuleles of the last 20 years at the best prices ever!
Right out of the gate we were impressed with the BHC range from Snail. Their roster was by no means unimpressive up until the release of the BHC collection, but when Snail brought them to the market in 2017 they really switched into a new gear.
The BHC range was the first to offer variations in the top wood on like for like Snail ukulele silhouettes, giving some subtlety to the sound options allowing players to tailor a little more to their own preference.
The BHC-6T features a solid cedar top with laminated ebony back and sides. The cedar offers a slightly more mellow timbre than the spruce, with a little more depth in the bass end and a whiff of brightness taken off the top, and is finished in a clean and clinical looking gloss. Capped with a slotted headstock and fitted with unbranded but very sturdy and accurate machine-heads, this tenor is a tidy contender in its price bracket. The instrument is very light in your hands like all Snails and basic chords ring out in just the most lovely way.
