Baton Rouge are back to their old tricks finding gaps in your ukulele collection you didn't know existed and then tempting you in with something just that little bit different...

The UV11-BS-SCC has a needlessly complicated name but can be summarised very easily. It is a baritone scale ukulele bass (like Kala U-basses), has a nice charcoal stained laminate mahogany body and a unique 1920's inspired art-deco headplate.

It works very well and more than holds its own against the other popular basses on the market under £300. It has a BR-1 pickup system complete with tuner, volume and tone functions. One really positive note I made is that this instrument didn't have nearly as much hiss and background noise as the older system found on other Baton Rouge and Laka basses.
