Bubbly, luscious, playful and warm are the best words to summarily describe the KoAloha KCM-10 Pikake concert uke. KoAloha concerts are renowned for a clarity and openness to their sound that surpasses any of the other Hawaiian koa concerts.

These Pikakes have such vitality and wonderful expressive range, just like their glossy sisters the KCM-00, but with a slightly deeper and mellower edge to the tone. The satin finish allows more warmth to show in the sound, at the same time making it feel more open and natural sounding.

KoAloha use no grain filler before applying the satin finish. This allows the instrument to sound as amazing as it does, but it does mean that you have to expect small cosmetic anomalies and flaws, where features and grain in the wood show through the finish.

This is done to keep the costs of the instrument and shipping from Hawaii to the UK as affordable as possible.
