Kiwaya have been one of the shining beacons of quality ukulele manufacturing for decades and made a huge splash with the launch of the student series a couple of years back. This Kiwaya laminate mahogany baritone ukulele is the perfect beginner instrument.

Having listened to feedback from the modern beginner/intermediate players out there in the world right now, they have expanded the student series to include a tenor ukulele. What sets the KBU-1 apart is the wider 38mm nut width and the slotted headstock which increases the bounce and tension of the instrument just the tiniest bit.

It really is one of the best ukes out there if you have a budget of £200... What it lacks in aesthetic extravagance, it more than makes up for in comfort and playability.

Kiwaya have also included a gigbag which is a lovely bonus at this price and clear fluorocarbon strings which make for a more confident sounding and accurate feeling note.

This used model is in, I would say 6/10 condition. Shipped in a gigbag, this one has lived a fair amount of life with a handful of scuffs and bangs. If you're ok with a slight stale smell of cigarettes for the ultra authentic aged feel, then grab a bargain baritone.
