The Kala Contour series is new to us here at SUS. At first look we are really impressed with the KA-CT-SSRW-TG-C tenor ukulele with a cutaway. It was introduced with the view to reimagine classic ukulele styles to highlight that traditional uke sound with a little modern flair in the design.
The solid spruce top on the KA-CT-SSRW-TG-C provides a clean look, and great attack and resonance with the rosewood back and sides supporting tonal clarity and balance. The purpleheart binding makes for a refined design accent, echoed in the two tone "Eclipse" rosette, pairing the same purple heart with mahogany adding a modern twist to the classic features of this lovely tenor. The venetian cutaway and contoured comfort edge allow for playability and lend themselves to the modern aesthetic this lovely uke boasts.
