Honu is Hawaiian for turtle and like the Honu ukulele, the Hawaiian sea turtle is a creature of emotion, grace, and longevity. Playing your Honu ukulele will take you to the shores of the Islands of Hawaii where the Honu can be seen swimming to the sweet music of the ukulele. The Koa wood is harvested, cut, and milled on the Big Island of Hawaii.

This Ukulele is quirky sounding, with bags of charm and a very mellow voice. You can strum and it isn't shrill, you can pick out a melody and it really sings, with impressively open and clear notes ringing out up the neck. Really, the rope binding and wood button machine heads are just a massive cosmetic bonus to an already excellent instrument.

This is in spectacularly good condition. Apart from a tiny mark on the wooden machine head button (see pic) and a small mark near the bridge from when the strings have been changed (see pic), I cannot find a mark worth mentioning. When I say one careful lady owner, I mean it! So, comfortably a 9+/10 cosmetically. The case is in decent condition too.
