We know we're always going to get quality from Pono, but these new Pro Classics are something else! This MT(S)-PC Is an all solid Java made spruce/mahogany tenor ukulele with a tonne of upside and a worthy contender for your attention against other high end ukuleles bridging the gaps at this price.
If you want something with some Hawaiian flavour then you have lots of choice but this instrument feels and sounds like it could be adaptable to any style and the radiused fingerboard is going to be a welcome addition to many.
The spruce top on this model is nicely figured and that throaty, uncompressed and vibrant sound you get from spruce is here. This uke sounds confident and you hear much more definition between each note than you would on say a mango or acacia ukulele.
Pono should also be complimented on the newer thicker front and back binding which gives the Pono it's unique look, the gold Grover tulip button tuners and finally in place of the Pono hard cases that have been discontinued; we are including a TGI ABS tenor hard case at no extra cost.
