This is a lovely twist on the popular MBD solid mahogany Pono baritone. The addition of a spruce top gives this beauty a strident, immediate response which makes strumming sound very full and picking sound very clean and crisp. Spruce has a wonderfully even frequency response, which favours both the bass and treble end of the spectrum, so you have a very balanced sound with depth to the bass and nice clear, soaring trebles.

And being a Pono, you just know that its been put together properly. It just feels like a good, solid, powerful bit of kit.
