Ohana BKT-70G Solid Spruce top Baritone-Tenor Ukulele
Ohana's take on the very popular and innovative large body Tenor design. The BKT-70G has a Tenor scale neck attached to a Baritone body. This Super Jumbo gives off a truly booming voice while its tenor scale maintains the classic GCEA ukulele tuning without too much resistance (unlike many Baritone GCEA Ukes out there). That bigger body allows for more projection and sustain, filling out the mid and bass register to give a voice unlike anything else out there.
Solid spruce makes for a fantastic choice to balance out that bigger body also. Akin to acoustic guitar dynamics, the brightness of spruce lets those higher frequencies shine on the top end making it a finger style dream, but not allowing for any muddiness when strummed.
This model does not fit into any of the hard case options. The only gigbags that really work well are the Boston Superpacker or the Kala Sonoma Coast gigbags in Baritone size.
