Maton TEN-CED-E Electro Acoustic All Solid Tenor Ukulele in hard case

This beauty from Maton (an Australian company who make seriously good high end acoustic instruments, before you ask) is an absolute sound cannon! You can tell it has been made properly because of the weight of it, really light and beautifully balanced - which means that there is nothing unnecessary that can soak up vibrations which might otherwise be turned to sound. A common feature of all of the best ukuleles is that they are super light, and very rigid - and this is certainly that.

Cedar makes for a full, rich and luscious sound which will be familiar to classical guitarists the world over. Full of harmonics, with a great presence across the entire frequency range, the sound can be turned to intricate picking to bold strumming to quiet noodling with equal success; at all times it retains clarity, with each note being heard clearly and precisely as you intend.

I'm a big fan of this ukulele - at the price, with a decent pickup fitted and a world class hard case, it is seriously good value and worthy of consideration alongside ukes of a similar price such as the Opios and Ponos.
