Welcome back to the Southern Ukulele Store Lanikai! After a turbulent couple of years, we found ourselves mightily impressed with the new lanikai bass ukulele range at the NAMM show. These instruments offer a good middle ground to bass players wanting a short scale acoustic bass but don't want something over-built or swampy sounding like a full size acoustic guitar bass.

The string tension is suitably light despite being a bronze metal wound strung instrument and the acoustic volume this instrument produces far-surpasses the competition out there from Gold Tone, Ohana and Cordoba.

It's hard not to like this wavy oak finish... This Lanikai bass ukulele has a really comfortable neck profile, black open back tuners, a satin finish, Fishman's impressive Classica II pickup system runs on a 9v battery and kicks out a lot more punch and volume than baritone scale polyurethane string basses on the market.

Finally, the scale length is longer than most at 23 inches. But, the instrument does not feel daunting to play and remains a good lightweight option and alternative to a full size bass.

Specification:
Laminate oak top, back and sides
23.4 inch scale length
Graphtech nut and saddle
D'Addario phosphor bronze bass strings
Fishman Classica II pickup
Strap buttons
41mm nut width
Padded Lanikai gigbag included
