The KoAloha soprano ukulele is a seriously beautiful instrument as it stands, combining effortless playability with bags of tone, projection and stunning looks. As far as soprano ukuleles go, the KSM-00 has long been regarded one of the best in the world.

The KSM-01SI is a very limited 'Special Issue' model (one of very few built each year, we are very lucky to have this one)

The all solid premium mango is beautifully figured and a lovely example of one of our favourite tone-woods. The pineapple body really enhances the flavour giving you some slightly warmer and rounder lower tones to go with that very distinctive Mango snap. Of course KoAloha's clever internal bracing allows the top to vibrate for longer and harder, meaning more volume and sustain, which are hard to achieve at soprano scale.

Adding a touch of something special, the KoAloha custom shop team chose to frame the sound-hole of this limited range with crescent moon shaped "Koa leaf" inlays and a crown in the centre in abalone, a doff of the cap to that supremely special wood that brings a subtle touch of class without going overboard.

As with the original KSM-10's we still enjoy the comfort of KoAloha's 37mm nut width with atop the ebony fretboard and of course cap the whole shabang with KoAlohas regal five pointed crown headstock. Abalone makes it way up the fretboard in the markers and to the logo also.

Shipped in a premium padded Kala Sonoma Coast gigbag, this is something very special from KoAloha that stands out amongst already special ukuleles.
