Kamoa E5-T Solid Cedar/Mahogany Tenor Ukulele in case (B-Stock) (FINAL CLEARANCE)
It feels so good to have Kamoa ukuleles back here at the Southern Ukulele Store. We have a long association with Kamoa going right back to 2011 and have fond memories of the early brightly coloured E3 models and even the short lived but well respected Jazzbox Electric models.
The most recent incarnation of Kamoa and the more slender product line shows us this new and improved E5-T tenor ukulele. A solid cedar topped and solid mahogany back and sides tenor with a noteworthy amount of warmth and sophistication to the sound.
The factory strings include a wound low G which adds some depth and character to the sound at first inspection; the very 'Hawaiian feel' of the neck and clever dimensions make for a really refined playing experience. The slightly wider 36mm nut width is perfect for those that currently struggle with some of the more well known Chinese made factory brands like Kala, Snail or Kai.
This first run of the new series of ukuleles does suffer from cosmetic niggles which is why we can offer them at such a good price. The satin finish sometimes has a slightly live in and uneven look and you may find a machinehead is a bit wonky... The playing experience however, is reminiscent of Pono, Big Island and Ana'Ole and the inclusion of a clamshell lightweight hard case with each one is a very welcome compromise for the cosmetic marks.

Although we like the factory strings and the darker sound they produce; we were also really impressed with how they sounded when strung with clear nylon or clear fluorocarbon strings... Please bear this in mind if you are looking to have us fit high G strings for dispatch. You can choose a different set of strings using the prompts on the order sheet when adding the item to your cart.
