This uBass model, the SSMHG, was the result of a collaborative effort between Kala Ukulele and Road Toad Music, and it was one of the very first of its type. It has a 20 inch scale with 16 frets. The Pahoehoe polyurethane strings have a great feel, with really nice tension and feel, and perform well but some players may prefer the feel and sound of different strings.

This instrument makes a unique sound that falls somewhere between an upright bass and a standard electric bass. It sports lightweight geared tuners and an active Shadow piezo pickup with tone and volume controls and built in tuner, which is powered by 2 x CR2032 batteries. It has a solid Spruce body, laminate Mahogany back, sides and neck, and an Indian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge.

This is the instrument for someone who is looking for something a little different that is also great fun to play. Price includes a lightweight hard pod case, with lots of storage.

This one is in good used condition, with no major dings or dents, but showing signs of use.
