Kala KA-SRT-SC All Solid Wood Scallop Cutaway Tenor Ukulele Spruce Top

Well, we're all used to Spruce and Rosewood ukuleles by now, and jolly good they sound too. Punchy, vibrant and zingy sounding with a good strong sound across the range. This new model from Kala also adds a scallop cutaway to the body, which allows you easier access to the top frets - so if you are a jigs and reels type player or play a lot of lead breaks up the neck this would be a very good choice indeed. The Spruce really helps the trebles ping out really nicely.

Like all Kala ukuleles these days, the intonation is very good without ever being perfect, and the finish is top of its class, with some minor blemishes which you have to expect from Chinese factories. It's well appointed and very good value at the price.
