Kala KA-SPMT-TRI Tri-back Tenor Ukulele Solid Spruce / Pau Ferro

We've got a lot of time for this tri-back Kala tenor ukulele. Tried and tested tonewoods such as solid spruce on the top, and solid pau ferro back and sides are used on this stunner, but mixed up a little with a very striking stripe of solid mango up the back.

Now, I know that the cynics among you might think that this is a triumph of style over substance, and one for which you would have to pay through the nose. But, I have to tell you as well that it plays and sounds fantastically well, and is worth every bit of the price tag on those two factors alone.

The sound is very much as you would expect from solid spruce - very immediate, with a good strong crisp treble and punchy bass, whilst the solid pau ferro on the back and sides helps increase sustain and volume. And I would love at this point to say that that strip of mango up the back helps the sound somehow, but I would be lying...but it surely does make it look amazing.
