Designed primarily as an electro acoustic stage instrument, these handsome beasts look and sound the part plugged in. Acoustically, owing to the laminate woods used, they lack a little of the brilliance and projection that can be achieved with a solid top, but nonetheless the sound that they make is sweet and balanced.

Now for the boring bit. The laminate woods are put under tension in the arched back and top, which helps to wring the last bit of volume and projection from the body of the instrument, so this is a clever bit of design, ensuring that the player gets maximum bang for bucks. Bear in mind that a carved solid arched top arched instrument would set you back hundreds of pounds more.
