In its bare bones one might confuse this model with any other solid mahogany concert ukulele. But this James Hill collaboration model has a few extra features that helps it to stand out against say a standard Kala mahogany model or maybe the waterfall series ukuleles.

With the KA-JH-AMHG-C-E James Hill and Kala wanted to build a slightly flashier model for sure, what with the custom headstock logo which is reflected on the padded gigbag and the abalone soundhole rosette. But fundamentally they wanted to provide a gigging concert ukulele that is stage ready right out of the box.

The solid mahogany body brings warmth and response, while a player-friendly neck shape and pocketed frets support smooth progress across the fingerboard. Of course, no gigging instrument is complete without a capable pre-amp system, and the Kala UK-300TR active EQ system has been a staple in the ukulele world for an age now, and for good reason. Bass and treble controls give this uke plenty of fine dialling and features a handy built in tuner.
