The Kala KA-8E is the electro acoustic older brother to the Kala KA-8. This is one of the cheapest mid quality electro acoustic 8 string ukuleles and a very good value for money instrument. The build quality is great, and the sound is as you would want from an 8 string - full, rounded and jangly, but without any muddiness in the mid-range. Aquila strings help, of course! And the new Kala preamp system which has replaced the Shadow unit is a tried and tested favourite, and outperforms the Shadow unit in almost very way.
