The Kala Doghair Collection is a very faithful throwback to the vintage Martin guitars built in the 1930s. The bare bones presentation is meant to replicate the time-honored style of these distinguished guitars. The Honduran Mahogany is given a thin finish to fill the grains and make them standout. This Tenor sounds fantastic with some especially rich deep notes if you are a finger picker or work with a Low G. The wider fingerboard is also something that might appeal to the player with larger hands. Handcrafted in the Kala Shop in Petaluma California, these ukulele receive the same care and attention as the rest of Kala's Luthier Collection. The Doghair Mahogany Tenor ukulele come equipped with Kala custom tuners and fluorocarbon strings. The Honduran Mahogany imparts a vibrant and stable tone with abundant sustain. Each model comes in the new Kala Transit Gig Bag with a plush interior and a Humilele humidifier. Preferred by professional musicians, the tenor adds a warmth and depth to the classic ukulele sound.
