Kala KA-EMI-C Emi Sunshine Signature Model Ukulele
The EmiSunshine signature concert ukulele features an original, Emi-inspired design placed atop the foundation of Kala’s most trusted flagship instrument design. This instrument features a satin spruce top adorned with a custom black vine rosette, mockingbird headstock, and accentuating black binding supported by a traditional satin mahogany back, sides, and neck. Hand drawn by Kala with Emi’s guidance, the ukulele really represents her values, process and burgeoning creative voice.
Born Emilie Sunshine Hamilton and captivated from a young age by “salt of the earth” mountain music and melodies of Appalachia, EmiSunshine launched her professional career performing at churches, community outings and local festivals.
After her raw performance from a Tennessee flea market went viral on YouTube in 2014, Emi began cultivating national attention with her staggeringly powerful and distinct vocal style. Deeply influenced by country forebears such as Hank Williams, June Carter, and Dolly Parton, Emi has spent the years since touring nationally and coming into her own as a prolific songwriter and model storyteller.
Best yet: she has been accompanied by the ukulele every step of the way as her accompanying instrument of choice.
The EmiSunshine signature concert ukulele comes with a padded concert ukulele gigbag with custom Emi Mockingbird logo.
