We were really intrigued by The Hive Series of plastic travel soprano ukuleles... The Magic Fluke US made ukuleles have always appealed to players who didn't mind a progressively built ukulele with a good dose of quirkiness. The Hive Ukuleles appeal in the same way but to a much more affordable beginners level player.
This pink soprano ukulele is almost entirely made from ABS plastic. The only parts that are not plastic are the metal tuners and the top of the ukulele which is made from laminate birch wood. The fact that it is mostly plastic makes them very portable and robust as well as being easy to clean – perfect for children.
The Hive Series ukes have a unique body shape. They feature a flat bottom which enables free standing. The headstock is also a unique shape with lots of attitude. The perfect uke to take down the beach or take with you on an adventure without fear of over-exposure to the elements.
