Fanner 'JAZZY' Semi-Hollow Left Handed Electric Tenor Ukulele Sunburst Stain w/Cutaway #6

The Jazzy Ukuleles from Fanner are an absolute delight. These are easily some of the most exciting ukuleles to hit the Southern Ukulele Store and uke-scene in general for a generation. Available made out of lots of different woods with many creative finishes; I can already tell we are going to have fun with our Fanner deliveries for years to come.

The Jazzy available here is a left handed 17'' scale tenor ukulele with a wenge fingerboard, ABS abalone dot inlays and a venetian cutaway for easy upper fret access. The body is built from reclaimed old-growth meranti (often marketed as Philippine Mahogany) for the top and sapele for the core, back and sides. Fanner have gone with a gorgeous sunburst stain all sealed in by a polyurethane clear gloss finish for this one. Abalone ABS is used for the top and bottom binding with a nice basic three-ply scratch guard thrown in for good measure.

This 17'' scale tenor electric has a 35mm nut width and a comfortable 12'' fingerboard radius. This model has a pair of hand matched, scatter wound P90 style pickups controlled with a volume and tone control. Everything except the machine-heads and the pickup is made in house by Fanner in Cape Town, South Africa.

The pickups are handwound P90 with alinico5 magnets which make for a very dynamic and open sound. The pickups are the secret to the Fanner ukes in our opinion as you can achieve any sound and style with more natural expression. If you are a player who uses dynamics when they play; you will 100% notice the difference.

The woodwork is hand-routed, sanded and sprayed in house. Each Fanner ukulele is unique.
