One of the finest electric ukuleles made today. Solid chambered acacia body with a cedar cap, gloss finish, Macassar ebony faceplate and fretboard, passive Pono undersaddle pickup, high quality geared machine heads, Ko'olau Low G strings with wound 3rd and 4th. Made in Indonesia, with the pickup added and final setup done in Hawaii by the Ko'olau guys.

The build quality is exactly what you would expect from Pono, faultless, and the engineering behind the design is very clever. Highly feedback resistant when plugged in, so you can focus on what is really important, sounding great and looking fabulous! This machine also has enough volume when unplugged for quiet personal practice. And with a radiused fretboard, it feels more like an electric instrument than a standard acoustic ukulele. The truss rod, which is fairly unique to Pono ukuleles, allows for ease of setup and adjustment to get it just so.

This is an ex demo example, with some small playwear to the top; these are only cosmetic issues, and do not affect the performance. And that fretboard is quite sensational!

It is of interest to note that only the finest grades of quartersawn hardwoods, such as Mahogany, Rosewood, and Ebony are selected for Pono instruments. However, only 20% pass the stringent requirements of density, grain patterns, flexibility, and cosmetic aesthetics. This is virtually unknown, especially in the Asian import market. We are proud of the fact that all of the Pono instruments are made of solid woods.
