Da Silva James Hill Signature Model Tenor Ukulele - World's Finest

This model has a few small marks under the finish which are fairly typical of luthier made instruments - you can literally see the hard work that has gone into it! Sadly these marks are too small to show up on photos, but as this is a high gloss finish instrument you can catch them in the light sometimes. We have checked it for blood, sweat and tears, all of which are not present in the finish but have surely gone into the instrument somewhere....

But what you are paying for here is the wonderful voicing of the instrument - Mike Da Silva knows exactly what to do to a ukulele to make it sing, and boy does it show. We had the pleasure of spending quite a bit of time with him at the NAMM show this year and his passion for building Ukuleles and his knowledge of high end tone-woods is infectious. The Koa on this wood is unlike anything we have seen before; including other James Hill models Mike has sent us. The photos can't do this instrument justice - the back and sides are a gorgeous light brown colour and look completely different as you peer at different angles. WOW..
