Blem - Romero Creations GT Solid Mahogany Grand Tenor Ukulele in Gigbag #21024

Special Price £799.00 £665.83 Regular Price £899.00

The Romero Creations solid mahogany grand tenor ukulele offers something really different that ukulele players have been wanting for years. The thin, modern style neck still has a wider 38mm nut width. But don't worry, it retains the compact Romero headstock that many find really comfortable when playing chords in the first position. The body is that of an enlarged tenor ukulele, giving it a more baritone feel. It has a deep body depth of 7.8cm. Romero Creations like to say these ukes have a piano like sound and sustain and it's hard to argue with them!

When you play this grand tenor ukulele, you get a deep, rich sound. You don't lost the higher frequencies find your notes get lost in the mix. It's a professional instrument for a professional player. You get great bass, good volume and a nice wide fingerboard.

What's the difference between the mahogany, koa or mango? The mahogany grand tenor is so warm sounding it makes you want to take your jumper off... It has a really accentuated bass response that makes the notes on the C string or a low G sound suitably creamy and delicious.

The balance is different too, when you strum you get a more chordal harmony than on the koa and the single notes are not quite as loud buy sound slightly woolly. The mahogany grand tenor is a ballad instrument for sure. The correct answer is that you should buy all three and you would have the right grand tenor for any situation...

Pictures show actual instrument you will receive. This one arrived here with some minor cosmetic issues, hence the reduction in price. There is a slight bubble in the gloss on the corner of the nut, which is smooth to the touch and does not affect the playing or feel of the neck (see pic). Some of the washers and nuts on the machine heads have lost a little of the black coating where they were tightened in the factory (see pic), and there is a small dink in the wood under the finish just on the back, near the heel cap (see pic).
