Big Island KR-CTG Solid Hawaiian Koa Concert Ukulele Rope binding

Here we have an all solid Hawaiian Koa concert uke, with a lower than expected price tag. All Big Island acoustic ukes are half made in Hawaii: the wood is milled and prepared in Hawaii, then shipped to a specialist factory in Vietnam for assembly. The quality is excellent, definitely a step up from what you expect to find from most Chinese factories.
 
The sound of this model is just as a Hawaiian concert uke should be - bright and cheerful. It has that lovely Koa chime to the mid range and zinginess to the treble. The intonation is pretty impressive as well, making all the frets useable.
