Barnes and Mullins BMUK10C All Solid Mahogany Concert Ukulele w/Gigbag

£219.00 £182.50

We're delighted to offer this all solid mahogany concert ukulele from Barnes and Mullins. It shares a familiar amount of DNA with the Flight Voyager ukuleles. Enough so that we just had to stock it... It sounds great, feels great with a slightly wider 36mm nut width and satin neck.

The gloss mahogany body has bundles of warmth and character just like the Barnes and Mullins brand itself which started close to us in Bournemouth way back in 1895 producing banjos and later ukuleles. Although modern Barnes and Mullins instruments are produced in China, they retain the original lollipop headstock design which sets them apart from the other ukes on the wall right now here at SUS.

Aesthetically, this ukulele has a lot to offer to with a traditional herringbone rosette and black reconstituted ebony binding that leads into a bevelled comfort edge on the lower bout. The fingerboard and bridge are rosewood and the neck is satin giving it a lived in feel from new.

Many of the earliest ukuleles were made of mahogany and it is still the most used wood in ukulele manufacturing today because it turns the ukuleles naturally small dimensions and bright, chirpy sound and adds an element of texture, depth and warmth. Join us in welcoming this new Barnes and Mullins model into the world and if you are on the hunt for a new concert ukulele without breaking the bank; you can do much worse than this.

Listing shows a typical example - so far they have all looked nearly identical.
