These Ukuleles are just fantastic. An excellent combination of Spruce and Koa really is just the most adaptable mixture of sharp and sweet you can get. Imua have painstakingly sourced this Alpine spruce to compliment the already fantastic Koa. Whether you pick or strum, this Uke has warmth in spades but just the right amount of snap when you really lay into the strings that you can bend it to your will and adapt to any style.

Why is it B-Stock you ask? Well the spruce top gloss finished instruments on our most recent delivery were manufactured using a new environmentally friendly water based gloss technique. This light finish sounds and looks shiny and fantastic but sadly made the instruments more prone to small marks in transit and this Ukulele arrived with several small puncture marks in the lacquer that shines up in certain lights. With more than a 10% discount applied to this instrument to make up for it - we are hoping somebody might give this Uke a loving home.

IMUA are the emerging new stars of the Hawaiian Ukulele world. Founded by the man originally behind Big Island/Honu Ukuleles; Jorma Winkler has worldwide links with the finest woods available in the world and in IMUA Ukuleles it really shows. IMUA simply have some of the most gorgeous looking and sounding tonewoods and continue to make them into a comfortable, well built Ukulele to be enjoyed. The Ukulele build designs can be credited to Shinji Takahashi, master luthier from Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan who overseas production in Honolulu.

The Imua gloss finishes are a little bit rustic like the Kamaka Ukuleles due to the traditional nature of the design and build. The result is a semi open pore finish that displays quite a few little pits in the finish under closer examinations.. This can take some people by surprise but is sadly often a byproduct of trying to achieve a super light gloss finish.

If you like the KoAloha Opio but want something just a little bit more reserved in sound and traditional in appearance and feel then this is probably your best option.
