Ziegenspeck "Uke Up" Piezo Transducer Pickup

At some point in mid 2023 a customer brought a ukulele in to us for a set up. Fitted to it was a fantastic, non-intrusive and beautifully natural sounding transducer pickup. When they explained that is was hand made in Germany by none other than Tom Ziegenspeck we had to get our hands on a batch.

Tom is a one man show building instruments and these fantastic little passive pickups out of his workshop in Leipzig. This has allowed him to maintain true quality assurance, building the pickups himself, with a simple ethos - produce the most natural sound with as little alteration to the instrument as possible. As a passive system, no battery is required for the "Uke Up" enabling the pickup to remain as compact and simple as possible both in function and installation.

Installation requires a single hole to be drilled in the bottom bout of the instrument, with the step drill bit provided, and attaching the pickup to the inside of the uke itself. Full installation instructions are provided along with everything else you need in the box for installation other than the drill!
